i never update back to back, so if you want to get the whole scoop, see the entry before this one as well.

BUT.

i had to comment.

i taped the vma's tonight (mtv video music awards) cause i wasn't going to get to see them and the live shows are always more interesting than the tape they play over and over again.

yes, i'm a bit of a music video junkie.

however, i just saw the opening act.

christina, madonna, britney and missy elliot.

all women who could go by their first names.

and i'm just really confused.

cause, all of them together is like overload.

first off all madonna and missy totally rock, while britney and christina are like...cookie-cutter pop icons, y'know.

but even with that.

all of them together is tooooo much.

i don't get it.

madonna also kissed both britney and christina, and i ask for what?

women kissing is no big thing. did they see the last award show when t.a.t.u. came out and there were like 100 girls kissing on stage? thats been done.

so what's the big deal?

personally, i think the performance was a dud. and it should have been re-thought.

none of those women need any more press, for god's sake.

all of this is really superficial, i realize and my opinion doesn't count for much, but i've been watching this show for awhile...and i just felt i had to comment on this weird performance i just saw come across my television....

of course, all this coming from the girl, who never liked madonna till her last album and who probably listens to pop music more than i would like to admit.

so that's that.

read the previous entry, it's more interesting :)
